About the role

Schools buy eSkolr after seeing it answer a real doubt from their own textbook — and then discovering it also marks homework, sets question papers and keeps parents informed. Your job is to get that demo in front of the right principal, and to carry the conversation from first call to first invoice.

This is an independent, performance-linked engagement rather than a salaried job: you set your own hours and methods, we give you the product, the demo, the collateral and the support — and we pay you for every school that becomes a paying customer. Associates who consistently bring schools on board are offered a full-time role.

What you will do

  • Identify and approach private schools (CBSE, ICSE or State Board) in your city — our priority segment is schools with 200 to 1,500 students.
  • Reach the decision-maker (principal, director or owner), explain what eSkolr does in plain language and book a demo on the school’s own textbook.
  • Register every lead in our lead register before first contact, and keep it updated — it is the single record of who introduced a school.
  • Follow up through the free trial to a paid subscription, working with the founder on pricing and onboarding.
  • Represent eSkolr honestly: no promises the product doesn’t keep, no commitments on the company’s behalf.

What we are looking for

  • Fluent, confident communication in English and Hindi (or the local language of your city), in person and on the phone.
  • Comfortable visiting schools, asking for the principal and handling a “no” gracefully.
  • Self-driven: you can plan your own week, keep a pipeline and report progress without being chased.
  • A smartphone and the ability to run a short product demo on a laptop or tablet.

Nice to have

None of these is required. If you have them, tell us.

  • Existing relationships with school principals, management or EdTech distributors.
  • Prior experience in school sales, EdTech, publishing or education counselling.
  • A teaching or school-administration background — you know how a school decides.

Problems you would work on

Real items from our board — not interview exercises.

01
Get 20 minutes with a principal who has heard 40 EdTech pitches

Most of them were sold to parents over the school’s head. Ours is built for the school. Learning to say that in one sentence — on a phone, at a gate, on WhatsApp — is the job.

02
Demo on their book, not ours

Ask the principal for the chapter their students find hardest, and answer it live with the page number. Then show what happens to that doubt when the book doesn’t cover it.

03
Turn a free trial into a first invoice

A 14-day trial with real students and real teachers. Your work is making sure the school actually uses it in those two weeks — and that the right people see the results.

04
Build a territory from zero

Register leads, work a pipeline, know which schools are 200–1,500 students and which board they follow. The first associates define how eSkolr sells in their city.

Compensation

Commission on every school you onboard (per-school and recurring monthly plans; details and worked examples shared at the interview stage) · milestone rewards · a clear path to a full-time salaried position. No fixed salary.

Every term is set out in a written offer / engagement letter before you start. Applications accepted until 31 January 2027.

How we hire

  1. 1
    Apply by email
Send the items listed on the role page. We reply to every application, usually within five working days.
  2. 2
    A 30-minute introduction call
We tell you honestly what the role and the company are like; you tell us about your work. Both sides decide whether to continue.
  3. 3
    A short practical exercise
Engineering: a small take-home task (two to four hours, on something close to our real work). Partnerships: a short role-play of a call with a principal.
  4. 4
Conversation with the founder, then an offer
A final conversation about expectations on both sides. If we both say yes, you receive a written offer letter with every term spelled out.
